My Dad has played this game with all of the little kiddos in his life. At 6'9 he would toss us in the air, watch the excitment in our faces, and then catch us with those big hands. We loved this game. I don't think all of my Aunts did:) Jack's a fan!

Oma's Outfit
My Oma is just the BEST! Love her!!! As I have mentioned, all of Jack's southern friends wear these adorable rompers. I asked my Oma if she could by any chance use her fabulous sewing skills and make Jack a pair. She did and it is just the cutest thing ever! It fit perfect only the buttons need to be moved. Plus, it is so special because it was made with her TLC. Love you Oma and THANK YOU! I'm sure you will be seeing Jack in this outfit a lot, but I wanted to post some pictures of his fitting.

The Sock Goes in The Shoe
Jack is very into taking things and putting them into other things, and then taking them out. Like cheerios in a cup, toys in a bin, laundry in a basket. In and out all day long. I find lots of hidden treasures now all over my house, because like his Mom, Jack gets distracted and finds something more entertaining to do forgetting about the task at hand. My Mom had Jack laughing for like 30 minutes putting the sock in the shoe. Too cute.

He said it "PaPa"!
So Jack has been really babbling for the past 2 weeks. In just the past week he started to say "MaMa" over and over and over, and "DaDa", "BaBa", "DuDu" (which we think is Dutch). Usually this is when he is complaining and wanting something, so I haven't taken him seriously yet that he actually knows what he is saying. Then on Friday my Dad "PaPa" was walking down the stairs and Jack was at the bottom of the stairs leaning against the baby gate and loudly said "PAPA". Just once! As you can imagine my Dad was pretty excited about that:)
After that exciting moment we headed to the pool. I have to get in some of our last pool moments while Jack is still itty bitty!
After the pool we finally got to celebrate Dad's Birthday! 2 weeks Belated:) I made Taziki's Friday Pasta and we all agreed it is going to be included in the Family Rotation of Dinners. If you come and visit I might just make it for ya:)

Zoo Trip with Mimi, Gina & Luke
Last month Jack and I became Zoo members so we can go all the time. Friday morning Gina & Luke met the 3 of us so we could show Mimi the zoo that we love. When we pulled up we were a little shocked at how busy it was! Gina and I are used to having that zoo to ourselves, but then again in the past when we have gone it was like 100, Friday morning it was a cool 85. Mimi treated Jack and I to a train ride, which Jack LOVED! Monkeys are still a favorite, as well as the goats. NOT the roosters. I put Jack a little close to one and it croaked or roostered (whatever they do) right in his face twice. Opps. Bad Mom move. Anyways, we had a great time showing Mimi one of our favorite places!
Pool Time in Late September
Thursday Mom and I did some downtown Homewood shopping and pool time! Love that it is 95 in September!!!! What am I going to without a pool? Jack is cute he kicks his legs and moves his arms like he can swim. I have to watch him though because he has started to put his face right in. Aunt Lala (Jack's official swim coach) told us to get him used to laying on his back in the pool, finally he does it without a fight. His other favorite thing is to sit on the side of the pool and drop his toys in the water and let you fetch them out. So far so good that he hasn't crawled in. Jacks a little water boy and I love it! We are at that pool everyday. Seriously going to miss it when it closes next weekend!!

Grandma & Grandpa Postma and Aunt Katie Trip Part 2
We had such a nice relaxing time with the family! Made great use of the pool. Enjoyed the Resort at sunset/cocktail time. Grandpa fixed somethings that Mike has "Not had time for". And did a little shopping at the neighborhood Farmer's Market in which it is still 90 degrees at 9am on a September saturday morning. Such a treat to have them here! Mike and I loved it so much but Jack was in love with all of the attention! Thank you so much Mom, Dad, and Katie for coming down to visit us. Love you guys!
