Spring Break:Family Finale Day

On our last full day Jacky Bear got to pick the days activity, Mini Golf it was! Our own little Postma Masters took place, Preppy was the winner even with a baby on board. Jack absolutely loved it and we got through all 18 holes without a tantrum. Of course, as the optimistic parents that we are, we headed over to the 19th hole for a post game celebration libation. And there our little 3 year old began to unravel. Our bad.

After nap times and pool we headed to one of the classic vacation dinner spots, Iguana Mia, after dinner we we went to the sunset. As I watched Mike and Jack skip seashells while holding my little Lucy my heart almost burst with thankfulness. I have no clue what God's plan is for me, but I try to follow Him, and while there are many hard moments there are also moments like above...where I am just thankful that I have been given desires of my heart. I am married to a man I adore. I have this handsome little boy and a sweet little girl. God has been good. And with my toes in the sand and the sunset over a tangerine sky I am reminded that this is His World.

Spring Break: Rinker Reudoux

Again, on this Spring Break I played 3rd wheel (but with two more in tow) so more like a fifth plus dog type of wheel. Uncle Dave and Aunt Dawn graciously invited me and my group to stay with them, and I am so happy/lucky that they did because I just can't get enough of the Rinker's. Time flies bye and I don't get to see them nearly enough, but they are family, so when we do get the chance to spend some quality time together we always pick up right where we left off.

Jack was in Heaven with RyRy and Cassidy and Uncle Dave. Lucy was a sweet little traveler and enjoyed studying all of the new faces. On our morning walk Mom and I saw 3 black bears hanging out in the tree, when we told everyone they couldn't believe it, they see bears in their yard but have never seen them in the trees before during their walks!

Thank you again Uncle Dave and Aunt Dawn for taking us all in so we could catch up with y'all! We love and miss everyone so much already!

Spring Break: Boat Day

Yay for surprise visit with the Lorenger and Winfield family! They were kind enough to invite us down to Sanibel and cruise around on their boat for the afternoon. The day was perfect and little future besties Charlie and Lulu were so fun to see together again! Both girls let the humming of the engine and crashing of the waves lull them to sleep, which meant afternoon tasty Sea Breezes and lots of catching up for the rest of the crew. Jack throughly enjoyed himself while playing captain, Doctor Ray made quite the impression on him as he is always included in his nighttime prayers now, as well as Auntie Kiki! I think we should all just move down there together permenatley...deal? I think we would be pretty happy seeing each other every day! Thank you for a wonderful day Winfields and Lorengers, we love ya! There is something so peaceful about spending time with old friends, it just makes the heart happy.

Spring Break: 4 Generations

God answers prayers. Back in January Oma had a stroke, this active healthy woman was not at all a candidate for such a thing. Such an example of how to take care of yourself and how to age with grace and beauty. Oma made a full recovery and 2 short months after her stroke she made the trip down to Florida and we got to spend the whole week with her. What a blessing! A 4 generational spring break is quite the blessing and I am fully aware at how spoiled I am to have not only a Mom that loves my kids like her own, but also an Oma who has given them her heart. I will cherish the memories of coffee on the lanai, long wagon walks, cooking dinner together, her sweetly singing to Lucy, all of her wise counsel, reading Jack stories and being the chosen potty chatter, and curling up on the couch watching Dowtown Abbey. Thank you God for answered prayers.
