Tradition is we up to Grand Rapids to celebrate Christmas with the Postmas family the weekend before Christmas. Last year we missed out because we were in Alabama, so this year it was great that we could join everyone after only a 6.5 hour drive! Mike and I laugh at what road trippers we have become, 6.5 hours to us is nothing now after the Birmingham to Chicago journeys. Before we left Chicago the longest we ever spent in a car was 3.5 hours and that seemed painfully long to us, now that would be an absolute breeze...even with a toddler to entertain and feed the entire way.
Anyways, we successfully made the trip and it was so good to see the family! Jack and his cousin Noah are not yet at the age where they know how to play together. Hopefully by this summer they will be chasing each other around! Again, Jack got super spoiled with gifts and hugs and kisses. Jack is great traveling wherever, he just likes to see his people:) We ate dinner and did some much needed catch up, and then had one serious game of Jenga!
On Sunday morning we exchange gifts, visited some college friends, and celebrated Christmas with the Extened family. Including Grandma who is 90+! Every time we leave Grand Rapids we can't wait to come back. There are so many amazing friends we want Jack to meet and the time with family is just too short. Maybe one of these days the drive won't be quite so long, but whatever the future holds we will always just enjoy our time up there!

Visit to Preppy's Office
Jack and I had not made it over to see Mike's new office since the move to Kentucky. It was a chilly chilly Saturday and we figured what else would be better to do with our guests than explore our new city in the comfort of the heated suburban, with a stop at Preppys office so he could show off! It's funny what a 2 year old finds amazing! Jack loved the big equipment and loud noses echoing through the warehouse. Mike is really enjoying this new career challenge and I am one happy wife that I have a happy hubby!
Happy 2nd Birthday Jack!
My Dear Sweet Boy! When I utter the words, "happy 2nd birthday", I get a little teary-eyed. You are no longer a baby you are my little boy. Jack you have filled these past two years with more smiles and laughs than we could have ever imagined! You are so loved and will be forever! Can't imagine any other boy filling our lives with such joy!
We love you, Mom & Dad
To celebrate Jacks birthday Mom and Dad came down from Chicago, and some of their dearest friends came in from Lexington. Last year Jack had a room full of 1 year olds to celebrate his birthday, this year the crowd was 55+:) But what a fun group it was celebrating our little man! We at some great food, drank some bourbon, and enjoyed a delicious homemade choo choo cake created by Mimi! Jack got way too many presents and loved being the center of attention the whole night!

Pasta Night
Before Jack we used to go out like 4 or 5 times during our Christmas holiday, now we go about once. Ha. I can't blame it all on Jack. We also love to cook, enjoy a sunset and cocktails, and not have to get all fancied up for dinner. Our big night out was just in the development to the country club. Going out to eat with 6 adults and one adored toddler is awesome! Jack loves his people:) Aunt Lala was a favorite that night by a long shot, he was loving on her in his little gentleman attire. Oh Jack what will you ever do when you have to share the attention?!?!
