Spring Break 2013

We decided to take an impromptu (like booked tickets 5 days before leaving) Spring Break 2013. Mike was super busy with work and sweetly insisted that I take the kids down for some sun and family loving. So we crashed Mimi & Papa's SB'13! Flying went incredibly smooth this time around and the kids were so happy to be barefoot in the sun. Days were spent at the pool, walking/running the neighborhood in barefeet, sunsets, grilling out, and relaxing. Thank you Mom and Dad for hosting us, thank you sweet hubby for making some more awesome family memories!

Where Are You Spring?

These chilly temps are keeping us indoors and we are ready to get outside! It has only been a little over a week since our return from Florida and playing inside all day is just not our thing:)

Have you heard the saying, "Cleaning with kids in the house is like shoveling while its still snowing", so true. Add unpacking and catching up on laundry while trying to attempt general spring cleaning, nearly impossible with the nap times that never overlap. I'm at the point where I just want to throw everything out so I can have more time to play with the kids and not always clean up  (totally unrealistic but the thought goes through my head multiple times a day).

The two of them keep me busy...and I am still sharpening my homemaking skills!

Jack started Tee Ball last Thursday. Waiting for those Rinker baseball genes to kick in! He was a little intimidated at first and so quiet the whole practice (which is not like him at all), but by the end of the hour he was warming up to the coaches. Jack is by far the tallest out of all of the 3 and 4 year olds, but not a bruiser, long and lean boy. I am so excited for Tee Ball season!

 Mike had off Good Friday and we committed it to a family fun day starting off with a painting project at the Artist in You. Jack loved it! But I still don't think it is an activity I can attempt to do on my own.

Coloring Easter Eggs was anticipated all week by Jacky Bear, Lucy enjoyed the entertainment!

Easter 2013

This year we spent a relaxing Easter in Kentucky, as just a family of four. Mike made a delicious ham, Jack found close to 60 eggs, and sweet Lucy couldn't have looked more lovely in her little Lilly.

Easter always gets me excited for Spring, but most importantly the promise of eternal life. I pray that both Lucy & Jack love the Lord with all of their heart and rejoice always that He has RISEN!
