Morning Journey with Mom & Jack...and Dutchie

Another rough night with Jack but he is so adorable in the morning it's hard to hold a grudge.
Notice where the bowl is...you have to keep your eyes on his wild hands all the time!
After Jack's breakfast and quick morning nap we set out for a long walk around the neighborhood. We wanted to check out all the different areas and take pictures for Oma! I hope my neighbors don't think I am crazy for taking pictures, I just want to show my Oma:) All of the houses have such different looks and charm, it is so fun to explore!

Mom's favorite!
At this point we realized we were lost. We thought everything connected, but there are still areas under construction, so not all of the roads connect. We met a nice neighbor who told us it would be shorter to just cut across the golf course. So we hiked down her back yard and there we were on the cart path.
We were still lost but headed towards the hotel. Along the way I took some pictures for Ben of the course. At one point we thought we were going to have to walk the whole 18. But then we met Tony a Ross Bridge ranger, he was so friendly and guided us back home! Along the way we chatted with some golfers who loved Dutch.
After 2 hours were made it back to the pool, so we knew home was close! It was so fun to have a buddy to get lost with:) Jack has been in a great mood ever since we got home, apparently I just have to take him for a 2 hour semi-dangerous walk up and down hills and he will be a happy baby !

Moving In Update

We are all moved in but there is still plenty of organizing to do! Mike, Jack, Dutch, Mom, Dad, and Me all flew down to Birmingham on Friday afternoon. Leaving my parents driveway I felt sad but also excited about the new adventure for our little Postma family. The flight is a piece of cake! Dad and Mom handled Dutch, and we handled Jack, who after his normal fight before sleep was very easy!
The weather was gorgeous as we arrived. Mike and I were so excited to finally show Mom and Dad our new Postma Home! Happy to say they both loved it:) Plus a night at the Renissance would probably win anyone over! We had a cocktail at the hotel then headed over to Flip Burger. All of my hyping it up was totally true!
The movers came bright and early and it was a day of working! Thank goodness Mom and Dad were along, Mike and I had so much to do and Jack needed constant attention of course!
Mom and I made a trip to the Farmer's Market for some lunch, so much fun to have that right in the neighborhood!
Pooped from all his hard work.
He did not find this funny.
Dutch was nervous with all of the commotion.
1st trip to the Pool!
Our helpers!
Daddy dunked him. Aunt Lala would be proud!
We lucked out, Caitlin my cousin was visiting her Mom who lives like 8 miles away from us. She stopped by first thing after spending 12 hours in the car! I love her! She has no choice I am making her move to Bama after she graduates.
New game with Papa.
We finished the night with a wonderful dinner on our new patio, a favorite bottle of wine, and two of the most delicious sweet treats from Whole Foods.

There is so much more I want write about this weekend, but I have no time! So far we love it here! A LOT! Thank you Mike and parents for making the move a fabulous experience!

More to come later....
