Grandma & Grandpa Postma and Aunt Katie Are Here!!!

Jack was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his guests all day...so much so that he just couldn't nap! After a tour of our Postma home here in Alabama everyone headed to the pool, and where Jack finally crashed on Grandma. We had yummy blue arugula burgers for dinner and the watched "The Killers". Awful movie!
So wonderful to have everyone here:)

Roll Tide

On Saturday we were invited by Mike's boss to tailgate with them in Tuscaloosa before the Alabama game. I was SO excited. Going to Tuscaloosa on game day was #1 on my Alabama Bucket List. The atmosphere was unbelievable...the Big 10 has nothing on the SEC. Serious school spirit going on down here. Made Mike and I want to enroll in college all over again and live in one of the Greek houses surrounding the stadium. Wonderful Saturday:) Roll Tide Roll....

Labor Day

We spent the holiday weekend back in Chicago with the family. Fun as usual:)

We also got to visit with some of our best friends from Barrington which made me miss them so much!!! Auntie Lolo came to visit on Sunday and seeing her so often these past couple of weeks makes me miss her more.

I am just so thankful for my family and friends back in Chicago, I feel so blessed to have them!

Wedding planning is in full mode and I LOVE IT!!! Ben asked Mike to be his Best Man which he is pretty excited about! We just love that Ben & Leah are our best friends....as cheesie as that sounds and all:)

I get so sad to leave but I have to remember that God has a plan for all of this...and if He moved us anywhere I am glad it is Alabama. Is it weird to say I am in love with Alabama? :)

Go Cubs Go!!!

We had a VERY early start to our Labor Day weekend! 4 am to be exact....but we had to get home for our last Cubs game of the season. It was pretty chilly back in Chicago so before the game we made a quick trip to good ol' Deer Park Mall to buy Jack some jeans. The game was great and the cool autumn air provided a wonderful atmosphere for saying goodbye to Wrigley for 2010. 

And the Cubs WON! So Jack got the hear one of his favorite songs!!! See you next year Cubbie Bears:)

Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Dad, we are so bummed we couldn't celebrate with you this weekend or celebrate with you today!

But we are all thinking of you today and we'll make sure to celebrate when you guys get down here next Wednesday!

You are such an amazing Dad and have taught me so much ecspecially how to know be a good parent.

You have always given us uncondiotnal love, loved us for how God indivually made us and celebrated our uniquenss, and loved our Mom so much (such a gift to see how in love you are with her after almost 30 years)! Thank you for always planning things for the family so we can create awesome memories filled with laughter and love. You are one amazing man and so proud that you are my Dad!!!

While Mike Is Away Jenny & Jack Play!

Mike went to Brazil for a week and flew the Two of us+Dutch home so we could visit with family and friends!!! It was such a fun surprise! I love my husband more and more everyday...but can I tell you something that makes me love him SOOOOO much! He flies our little dog home with no complaints and manly carries him through the terminals. It cracks me up to see this 6'6 guy in a full suit carrying his baby dog! Ha! Anyways, we had a F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S time!!!! My MOM picked us up (ummm she did that 1 other time in her life) with my Opa! And Oma was at the house to great us with Sammy.

I'm going to post a ton of pictures so all I want to say is our trip was great!!!! We saw so many wonderful friends and family!!! Some big milestones: Jack cut his first 2 teeth, went to his first concert, had his first dinner with 5 girls, met his first baby friend in utero, snuggling Auntie Lala to sleep....that's all I can think of right now. Thank you Mom, Dad, Sammy, & Leah for hosting us:)
