Mother's Day

Loved celebrating Mother's Day as a Mom of two sweet and full of energy, somewhat draining but oh so loving, little kids! It was special because my Mom got to spend the weekend with us before heading back Sunday to celebrate with Oma. I truly love, respect, and adore my Mom.  Living far away has me missing her so much, but I am thankful for the awesome strong role model of a woman I have in her.
She always gave Ben and I unconditional love and she just loves on my kids like they are her own. Of course we have our arguments but we love each other more than anything, and I know she is always there for me. Always.

Once you become a Mom you totally love on your own Mom more. I am so thankful for the clean (and cute) clothes in my closet, delicious healthy meals on the table, and a well kept house to live in. For the sacrifice of not getting manicures or massages  in exchange for saving for our college. I am thankful for the long nights and weeks when Dad was traveling and Mom was there to still play with us outside until the sun set and then read us stories before crashing on the floor from exhaustion. I am thankful for all of the pictures she took and always keeping us active instead of letting us watch tv. I am thankful for driving us to church every week and the prayers every night. Being a Mom has opened my eyes to how amazing of a Mom I have. Here's to hoping that one day Jack & Lucy will see the same in me.

This was my favorite Mother's Day yet, I got to spend it with my sweet little Lucy and Jack was beyond excited for me to wear a tiara all day and open presents. He kept calling me his "Queen", and giving me huge around the next hugs all day. Thank you Preppy for a wonderful day and appreciating the fact I keep our kids loved, alive, and well fed everyday! I love you and our family!

Great post Jenny! Isn't it amazing how much more we understand our moms once we have kids? I think that was one of the first things I said to my mom when I got home from the hospital with L......'wow, i get it now.'

Love the tiara!!! Too sweet.
