A couple of months ago it became very clear that Jack was getting bored with Lucy and I. Too late to start him in school, we looked into summer camps. At 3 years old camps are still hard to find but our tee ball buddies let us know about this awesome one right around the corner from us! I enrolled Jack in one week for every month 9 to 1:30. I was excited for him but sooooo nervous at the same time! For 3 and a half years he has been in my constant care. Sure I leave him with his Dad and Mimi & Papa, but that's different than dropping him off somewhere for the majority of the day!
I stuffed his new cute lunch box full of food (he's used to eating whenever he wants), filled up his belly with a hardy breakfast, and smothered him with kisses Monday morning before I dropped him off. The morning with just Lucy flew bye and when we picked up Jack at 1:30pm he was so happy he almost cried when he saw me, you know that sweet little mixed emotion face, and then he crawled in the car and told me all about his exciting day of Dino Camp. He knew after that moment I would always be back to get him, and I knew at that moment he was ready to enter the world not just stay in mine. He's growing up and I have to let him! The week flew bye and every day Jack was happier to head back the next day! It's nice to miss each other a little bit:)
