Lucy's first Memorial Day was spent at Pine Lake, just like her brothers, except this year it was only 50 instead of 80! While boat riders were out of the question we still enjoyed the family time together and the gorgeous atmosphere.
Preppy left for Finland and we got to hang out for the week! The kids think they have three homes at this point: Kentucky house, Barrington House, and the Florida House. Then Jack says he goes on "trips" to the Lake and Oma & Opa's. Of course we loved the warm weather and time spent the yard. I am biased and think it is the best backyard ever. So peaceful and private. We filled up the kiddie pool and the Jack looked forward to his "guy time" when Dad got home every night. A lot of time was also spent on the practice bike and little race car, making loops around the circle driveway. Jack took an interest in playing "hoops" at Mimi & Papa's this trip, I have great family memories of playing pig barefoot with the crickets as background noise. My Dad was of course the all star, but we all played, even Mom (the cheerleader). So excited that our new house already has a basketball hoop because I look forward to making family memories out there too...carry on the tradition. It was a place to laugh and talk and just enjoy each others company! Lucy was all over the place during this trip and with more space she is harder to keep track of. But the two yorkies stayed on her trail.
Jack spent the later half of the week moving Bobo & Lala into their new house!!!! Their very first Rinker Home! It is gorgeous and we can't wait to make some fun family memories there. So sweet of the two to let Jack stay busy moving them out and then in as well! It gave me and Lucy some nice down time. Oh my goodness is one child a breeze. Ha. The week always flies bye when visiting home and we always leave with full hearts.
