Wade's Do Kentucky

My heart was full last Sunday night after a weekend spent with the Wade's. Traveling with two little kids on a plane is no easy nor relaxing trip, so when V told me they were willing and ready to do the journey out to Kentucky from South Carolina I jumped on it! Well to be honest I was a bit nervous to host in the new house because it was only our third weekend living in it (and one of the weekends was move in weekend). But a house is meant to be full. And full it was:)

V and I say we do life together long distance. She is one of my very best friends, we talk on a daily basis, are 100% open with one another...and I the last time I had seen I was 6 months pregnant with Lucy. Thank goodness for modern technology! Not only have V and remained the best of friends but our boys pick up right where they left off. Jack moved from Alabama at 22 months and it amazes me that he remembers everyone. Tells you what an impact everyone had on our life and how much we saw of each other!

It was a low key weekend spent mainly at the house, everyone put up with me as I fumbled where lights switches were and locating kitchen wear. The boys loved the basement and backyard. We ventured out to our favorite park and Churchill Downs for some racing. Jack won $3, I had my first mint julep, and Lucy got to pet her first race horse in the paddock. Between Jack tantrums I think we all had a great time:) Thankful for the Wade family that has become family and God putting them in our life! Next stop Charlotte...
