Weekend Update

I apologize for his blog post being a few days late, I was having some technical errors....and yes "technical" as in user errors...like I kept shutting down the computer and trying everything I could think of and the cord wasn't plugged in. Anyways...
We had a wonderful weekend! After sushi on Friday night we headed over to the "Movie in the Park".
I have always loved outdoor movie theaters. There is something romantic and nostalgic about them. When we were visiting here I saw that there were movies every other week in the park , it was just another sign that this place was for me:) A perfect night it was, like Wonder Years style, a bottle of wine, a sleeping baby, a warm summer night, good friends, and my toes in the grass. Fun it was!
Jack wasn't having the stroller but Dutch didn't mind it.

In the morning we headed over to Pepper Place, the old Dr. Pepper bottling plant, for the farmer's market. We got fresh tomatoes, peaches, and okra. Yes, that is OAK-rAH. Not Ork-AH. When I told Mike that I wanted to buy Ork-AH he laughed at me, asking if it really was possible to buy a killer whale at the farmer's market. Brian and Mike enduring the heat! It was HOT! My baby needs a fan!!!
Later Saturday night we had dinner over at the Nichols household. We had so much fun! Here are all of the boys partying, Maddy Nichols is the only girl out of the bunch, she headed to bed first leaving the boys to fight over her:) Food was great and company even better. I had homemade peach ice cream for the first time (apparently a southern staple) and I have been craving it now every night! If only I had room for an ice cream maker. Jack started to nod off just like his Gpa Rinker towards the end of the night!
Before our night was over Gina and I dragged the guys along for a night walk down to the hotel. Keven Lilies (sp?) was getting married at the resort so there were lots of celebrity sightings going on. Our quiet little neighborhood was filled with helicopters and police entourages. My big sighting was Saturday morning when Russell Simmons drove by in a Bentley convertible and gave me friendly good morning greeting. That night Gina and I were ready to rock out to some live Beyonce. I mean we totally would have gotten in if we didn't have the strollers, the dog, and the hubbies! So no luck seeing anyone, but we did see the doors that they were right behind!

Sunday was a productive day and then a pool day. All in all another wonderful weekend!
Couldn't ask for more!
