8th Valentine's Day for Preppy and I.
Each Valentine's Day spent together has just gotten better!
He's awesome.
Each year he has made me feel more special, loved and lucky.
As a Mom I have tried to think of cute ways to celebrate Valentine's Day for my son, because I have such fond memories of it growing up. Before Preppy my Dad was my Valentine, he always made sure to get me flowers and a card, from my 1st Valentine's until the Valentine's before I was married. Sweetest Dad, never made me feel bad for not having a boyfriend on Valentine's Day. I also think he purposely planned our annual family ski vacations out west during Valentine's Day so I couldn't get a date:) Dad's with daughters out there, your little girls will always remember the sweet things you do for her, never underestimate them! I can only hope boys remember the sweet things too...
Jack was a super cute mini-Valenitne all day. We went on a long morning walk and then a date to Starbucks. After nap time we headed to Gina's for a wonderful play group Valentine's Day party. Once the Daddy got home we gave Jack his little Valentine's Day book, opened presents, and then put the little bear to bed. For dinner I made one of Mike's favorite meals from Chicago, Gianni's Country Rigatoni and an heirloom tomato salad. After dinner we sat, drank wine, and chatted.
Just the way I had always dreamed it would be...

What a great post Jenny!! And I am right with you....I always tease Mike I was meant to live in the 60's and the south ;)
I absolutely LOVE your 'love' sweater. You look so cute! Also, may I ask where you got the martin Luther card? It's great!
Thank you Courtney!!! Ah see we are soulmates:) So I got that quote card from the "Quote Stacks" they sell at Hobby Lobby, I just cut a few out to decorate the table. There are different theme's and it was the Romance & Marriage stack! I was going to make your soup today but it is 70 degrees here!!!
Thank you so much for the info!! I will have to check out Hobby Lobby :) Ah, no fair about the 70 degrees!!! Although it is 55 here today, amazing. Enjoy the soup when you end up making it!
