It is such a great feeling when the parents come into town! It has only been 2.5 weeks, but I feel like so much has happened in that time. Like Jack started walking...and I probably gained 5lbs. since being cooped up inside! Jack, Dutch, and I were waiting in at the dinning room windows for Mimi&Papa to pull up in the white truck with Mike. They got the total Alabama experience being picked up in a truck:). Jack was confused/excited when he saw them.
I think he was confused because when we Skype he is always looking behind the computer screen for them. But this time they walked through the door, they were really here!!! Of course Mimi comes bearing gifts and all three of them sit down on the floor right away to read him his new book, letting him flip from the first page to the last like a million times.
He looked back at Mike and I as if to say, "Parents, I should always be greeted like this, this is how it is done"! Yep, they rock.
