Jack and I had an adventure today going to look for a place to live! During our 36 hour trip here in March I feel in love with a community called Ross Bridge in Hoover Alabama (yes the same Hoover in Hoover High School featured in the MTV show Two A Days for any of you MTV watchers). Ross Bridge is a new community built around one of the Robert Trent Golf courses. It has a pool, clubhouse, lots of events, tons of kids, and the people I have met have say it is really social which is exactly what I need since I am moving away from all of my FAMILY AND FRIENDS! Mike and I have been struggling with the issue of buying verse renting, we really want to just rent since we are going to be here for such a short time. But finding a nice home that we can rent in the community we want has been difficult. However we found one! We are still in negotiation on the move in date but pray that it all works out for us and that someone buys the condo! Here are some pictures!
Park and Pool Area
The house, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms...so plenty of room for guests!
The street the house is on.
The house is at the end of the street on the left.
There are some stores right in the community, I think the plan was for more but then the fabulous Recession came around.
The Grand Avenue leading up to the Resort.
There is a Renaissance Hotel in the community which is great because that means there are some great places to eat and a spa walking distance from the house!
The road leading to Ross Bridge, it is kind of out there and will be a 40 minute commute for Mike which I feel bad about. But driving in really makes you feel like you are out in a Resort and just on vacation:) Thats what I keep telling myself it is going to be a 2 year vacation!
I love all of the rolling hills!
It is so fun actually having Mike at home! Tonight he took Jack and I to dinner at the Tavern. Jack was a good too which made it an extra special treat!
There was a pretty sunset during our walk home. It is so fun getting to be a family every night!!! So when I get homesick I just need to remind myself of that...and that this is only for 2 years!
