Lions and Tigers and Oberon Beer OH MY!

This was our first weekend in Bama and it was a gorgeous one outside. I think this was our first weekend ever just the three of us, and we did just fine but we did miss you all family:)

On Saturday Mike planned for us to go to the Birmingham Zoo and then a charity BBQ for a local private school. The zoo was fun, Jack followed the animals but I think he was mostly entertained by the colorful map that Daddy used to guide us around and all of the hyper kids running around. After walking around the zoo for over an hour we headed out to the BBQ. It was a good old fashioned Southern BBQ cook off with tents, live country bands, and lots of micro brews including one of our favorites Oberon!

We were ready to mingle and Mike was ready eat but Jack was NOT ready for a party. So we had a few nibbles and drinks in between screams and then headed out. Hey we gave it a try!

Sunday we went to go try out MountainTop church in Vestevia Hills, we liked it but will probably check out a few more before we determine our home church. It will be so strange, I have gone to Willow Creek since I was 7 years old! But hey we have to go where God calls us.

Mike amazes me more every day, he is such an amazing Dad and Husband! The travel was really hard on us, and even this week has brought us so much closer. We are learning to rely on each other again, when we were apart all the time during the week we just did our own thing, now we get to team up and plan things together. He takes such good care of us and I am so thankful! I love it and I love him!

After a week I am missing my little Dutch so much, I have started my Dog stalking again (for those that know me well you know what that means:)).

Well the baby is sleeping and I am off to enjoy some quiet time with the hubby, but of course I will leave you will some pictures!

Sweet Dreams....

We had to park out on the grass. it was so busy! Lots of young families down here!
