Monday Funday

Jack and I love being on vacation at Mimi & Papa's house! Jack slept 11.5 hours,  got to pick out all his favorite fruits and cookies at the grocery store, and then took a 3 hour nap. After naps we got to visit "Barbara", one of Jack's favorite people that he talks about daily in a Boston accent and meet her new doggie. A delicious spaghetti dinner was made by Mimi and consumed with plenty of laughs. After dinner entertainment by the Jack & Mimi duo it was bath time by Papa. In the meantime Mommy got to shower (by herself), blow-dry her hair, and take a nice long nap with the doggies. I've said it a million times but it is the little things:) This is the way to spend your third trimester...

And in other news....Jack's future dutch girlfriend was born today! This morning I got to wake up to one of the most exciting texts, my best friend Kiki had her little girl! I have been blessed with the most amazing friends from college that are more like sisters than anything, so my heart was filled with so much happiness I wanted to dance around the room and rush over to the hospital...but then I did get a little sad knowing that Virginia is a long car ride away and I can't just drop everything to be there. I am just so excited for Kiki to embark on the amazing-fill-your-life-with-so-much-love journey of motherhood. She is a natural and going to be such an amazing Mom! FaceTime will just have to make do for play dates until the day comes that we can live near each other again!
