Our new Louisville friends invited us on Saturday to join them at the Turf Club at Churchill Downs for the day. It was the last race of the Triple Crown, and all week we were excited at the chance to watch our horse, "I'll Have Another" win the title, but on Friday he retired due to tendonitis. Nonetheless, it was a gorgeous day out and Jack throughly enjoyed watching the horses. We didn't get to socialize much as we had hoped because Jack didn't want to be inside the Club but outside on the balcony or down at the paddock. Can't blame the 2 year old for wanting to be close to the action! We hung out for 3.5 hours and as soon as Jack was strapped into his car seat he passed out...until 7pm. Maybe I should take him to the race track during the week!?!? Don't get me wrong outings with a 2 year old are always work, a little stressful, but in the end it is always fun and educational for them! Loved spending the day with my seersucker sporting blonde boys. Pretty sure I couldn't be more in love with either one!
