Weekend Trip To Ross Bridge

Preppy had to work the weekend, so Jacky Bear and I tagged along for a mini vaca at the "Castle". We had just gotten back from Barrington Wednesday night, but by Friday afternoon Jack was ready to hit the road again. He literally loads the bags in the car and jumps in excited for his next adventure. Friday we got to meet up with the Love Family and eat dinner by the pool. Then Saturday it was all me and Jack until Mike got home late that night and we got to have dinner by the neighborhood pool with the Harris, Wade, and Love Families. Gosh do I love and miss them!

Running after a toddler all day at the pool in the hot Alabama sun sure does wear an 8 month pregnant mom out, but I so loved the time with just Jack doing something special. He was such a sweet heart and just my little love buddy all day. We played and ate lunch and people watched, then he cuddled me up in the hotel room and just passed out like a little baby boy. I just love him so much and I am fully appreciating the time left I have to give him my undivided attention.

Confession time though, all of this mom loving has made Jack a little bit of a spoiled boy, definitely noticing that while we were back and he was hanging out with his friends. He is not the best at sharing and cries pretty quickly when things don't go his way, like loud long lasting cries. But he will grow out of that right?!? I mean no kid is perfect:) Jack mostly just wants to play with Preppy and I still, not his little friends. Oh and Gina too, Jack told me that Gina was one of his "best friends" this weekend. We closed the night with a drink out on the patio overlooking a big wedding at the Resort, Jack got to dance to some live band music, and told me that he wanted his tie on. Assuming he saw the little boys all dressed up and felt undressed. Now I will have to remember his belt and tie when we head out of town, two things I did not think a 2 year old cared about. It was a beautiful night and there is no place I would rather be then with my sweet husband and adorable little boy, just love them so very much. At that moment after a long day of playing and fun I was just thankful. Very thankful.

Sunday morning we enjoyed brunch and we were in the pool waters before 8am. Vacation with kids! Ha. Jack had a ball with his Daddy, lots of time in the bubbles and many times down the slide. We headed over to the neighborhood pool to say our goodbyes before we were Kentucky bound. The last minute trip to Alabama was a wonderful surprise! We got to see some of our favorite people and make  more family-of-3 memories!
