Memorial Day Weekend is not complete without a celebration up at Pine Lake! This year the weather was perfect, until our departure at night when it was a torrential down pour, but it didn't bother us as we got sun in all day. Jack was pretty proud of his new life jacket and also thought it was pretty fun to carry his little yorkies around. Not too sure the dogs were pleased with his discovery of the life jacket handles, but we all thought it was too cute! Jack was great on the 2 hour boat ride, he has some sea legs on him for sure, no fear. Jack's other favorites at Uncle Mike and Aunt Debbie's were the hundreds of stairs to climb, the hammock, and the mural wall Aunt Deb let him create.
It really was a beautiful day to spend with everyone. We were so thankful Opa could spend it with us after his recent hospital stay. The boys took a dive into the lake, well two of them did, my almost 30 year old hubby wanted to prove how young he still is and do a back flip off the dock post. Wonder how he is feeling these days:) Food as always was delicious, first brats and garden salad of the season! Safe to proclaim that everyone was happy and tired after Memorial Day at lake!
