One of the great things about moving is the opportunity to meet new friends, but with that is the fear that old ones will forget about you. Life is busy. So it does my heart good when we go back home and there are so many old friends that want to visit with us and to see how excited they are to meet our newest addition!
Mrs. Carlson was so excited to come hold sweet Lucy, I always love visiting with Mrs. C too because I get to ask her a million questions, she is labor & delivery nurse professor. She also brought over the yummiest carmael brownies made by Dr. Carlson! Seriously delicious.
Meesch, one of my best friends from college who is more like family than anything, came out from the city bearing adorable gifts for the kiddos and plenty of laughs for Mike and I. Jack developed a major crush on her, he actually had a tantrum for 30 minutes the next day because he wanted to get in the car and "Go see Meesch". Too cute. We all love her so much!
Mrs. Boe made a quick stop bye before her trip to Florida. One of the most beautiful ladies inside and out, and incredibly thoughtful! So fun to see Lucy loving on her.
And Sara Boe! What a fun suprise that Sara was in town from Minnesota! My oldest friend from down the street. We spent all Tuesday morning just catching up as she watched me chase around my crazy two year old and calm little Lucy. It was much easier with her extra set of hands! Kind of wish she would enroll in the University of Louisville and come live with us:) We make some delicious dinners every night together (and sip some wine).
The newly engaged beautiful Lauren came over after work on Wednesday. She is such a wonderful friend, all the way back from Lines Elementary School days, always making time to see us when we are in town. I feel like such a bad friend for not making it to their condo more often because I love spending time with her! Kind of fun for Lauren to meet to Lucy because I was with her the night before I found out I was expecting! Lauren got Lucy the sweetest little sleepers, I can't wait to see her all bundled up in them! Lucy and I got to hear all about the beautiful wedding plans, so excited for April!
Friday morning Jenna and her adorable little 2 year old Mallory came over! Sadly it was cut short due to it being Jack's nap time, pretty sure he tried showing off by running really fast for cute Mallory and the boy ran straight into a chair. The two lovely ladies got to witness his first split lip. Thankful for Jenna's help with Lucy while I dealt with my first big baby:) The girls brought Lucy a sweet pink bundler for our Chicago visits during the winter and Lucy's first baby doll (with matching blonde hair, I mean hopefully matching). Mallory loves her baby dolls, something totally new to me, so thank you Jenna for introducing me to the world of girls!
Thank you everyone for making time for us! We love you!
