I have many more pictures and things to post about today, but after one year of blogging about you Mr. Bear I had to buy more storage space and that won't kick in until tomorrow! So you will all just have to wait...all of my 10 (maybe) readers out there:)
Notes from your Mimi & Papa this morning:
One year ago I remember it well....an unexpected call around 7 am...Jenny, whispering, her water broke, no contractions though, wondering if she might still squeeze in that 9:30 hair appointment to get those much needed highlights! A very snowy day... a ride to North Barrington along slippery roads with the anxious Father to be... to get our Jenny in labor! After arriving to the hospital, I thought we'd have all the time in the world to wrap our heads around the fact that baby Jack was ready to enter the world almost 3 weeks early! He was in a hurry though and about 41/2 hours later...there he was... No time to spank this boy to get him to breath...he was crying loud and clear.... to be there to see that miracle is something I will never forget. Papa and Uncle Ben arrived shortly after...AGAIN...thinking we would have more time. Jack has been on the move ever since..... And our lives will never be the same.... Our family is one more precious life and will forever include the thought and care and prayer of it's newest member. We thank God for you Jack Michael Postma! Happy Happy Birthday!!!
Jack Michael Postma- it is hard to believe that you are already 1 year old today (where does the time go?) You have been such a BLESSING in our lives! When other friends (who were already grandparents) told us what it was like to have grandchild both Marilyn and I would look at each other and say “We think they are over selling this Grandparent thing a little” and then you were born 1 year ago today. The LOVE that we feel for you is hard to fully put into words- you think there is no way you can love anyone or anything as much as you do your own children but then you have grandchildren J Mimi and Papa wish that we could be in Bama celebrating with you today but this “work thing” that Papa has to do still get’s in the way of life events that we really would prefer to be involved in. Know that we will be thinking of you all day and we hope that you like the birthday presents that your father was so patient to put together for your celebration today. You are such an adorable, personable, active, loving, kid and we are so happy that you are in our lives. A BIG HUG from us and A BIGGER KISS blown your way. HAPPY 1ST birthday Jack-what a true blessing and joy your are!
