Neighborhood Christmas Tree Lighting

For months we have been hearing about the fun neighborhood Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Mike made sure to plan that we were back in Bama for the event. It was so much fun and perfect weather, just chilly enough to bundle up. Mike and I were laughing so hard at how excited all of the kids were when the stage released fake snow into the crowd! In Chicago you appreciate the first snow, but know that for the next 4-5 months you will be commuting it. Yuck!

There was a little Christmas pageant, Carriage Rides, Pictures with Santa, and Christmas Cookies. Jack was tired so we didn't get to wait in line to do anything, but it was just fun catching up with neighbors. Jack's favorite part was the pageant with all of the singing and dancing kids. The fireworks leading to the lighting of the Christmas tree was his second favorite part for sure! We were amazed that he wasn't scared at all...good thing because now we can take him to the NYE fireworks show on the Naples beach:)

It was such a fun night, too bad we couldn't do more, but Bear was tired:(

Santa with a southern accent!

I need to teach Mike how to use the camera...

When we got home Mike and I decorated the tree. We are thinking no ornaments this year because of sticky little bear paws. What did ya'll do that have little ones?
