Baby Girl: 36 Weeks

In Kentucky, this past week has been the longest stretch of days over 100 degrees since the Dust Bowl in the 1930's! And this lucky girl is 9 months pregnant. To be honest the heat doesn't bother me that much, what is hard is reminding myself that I have to take it easy. I feel fine running errands and playing outside with Jack, but the Doctors keep telling me to, "stay hydrated and take it easy". Doing my best to follow orders so Baby Girl can bake as long as she needs too.

Space in my belly is really starting to feel cramped and it isn't easy to lift all 37 pounds of Jack. My appetite has greatly decreased so green smoothies are my favorite meal (snickers too) and I am so happy with my new fruit infuser water pitcher because the massive amounts of plain water was getting really boring. Sleeping soundly, that is when my two year old isn't waking my up in the middle of the night. Baby Lucy is most active at night and Braxton Hicks contractions still occur in the late afternoon.

Feeling good but trying to take it slow!

This weeks appointment at 36 weeks and 3 days went well. Blood pressure great, 21 pounds gained, measured 35 weeks bump wise, heartbeat perfect, and now 3 centimeters dilated. Jack was not happy to be at the Doctor's this week, he was a complete pill. Tantrums and all in a small little examining room. Annoyed that he isn't on his best behavior as these could be some of the last days just the two of us! Why doesn't he understand that! Jack told the Doctor that Baby Lucy is coming in 1 day, and on Saturday he told me she was coming in 5 days, which would be 4th of July! I love the 4th of July but I really would prefer her to bake until at least Saturday so she is 37 weeks. Keeping my feet up and legs crossed today!
