Lots of Jack Time

This weekend was filled with lots of Jack time, he had his Dad's and my complete attention. We are already for Baby Lucy, all the projects are complete, so it was time to play with our little boy. Of course we went to the pool, Jack is an awesome swimmer these days, he keeps wanting to try without the turtle on, but it still makes me so nervous. Leaving the pool is usually some sort of fight these days, either he doesn't want to take his wet clothes off or...who knows what....the two year old tantrums are puzzling to Mike and I.

Saturday morning we headed out to our favorite little farm to visit with the animals and buy some fresh summer goodies. Jack was ecstatic about the fresh produce, tossing it in the cart as quickly as he could reach and get his hands on it. Have to love his enthusiasm for the healthy stuff! Funny thing about the lemonade stand, we gave Jack a $1 to nicely ask for a cup, he threw the money at the girls and just stood there. I was shaking my head, Jacky Bear you will not land the ladies that way. And here I thought we were doing good in the manners department...

Mike and I had planned to take him to the movies, but after a nice summer walk we decided to make popcorn at home and just watch the "Incredibles". I think it is his new favorite movie, we go through a new favorite every week now. TV time has been limited these days because it is summer and there is so much more to do outside, but I have to admit that snuggling on the couch with my boys after a day in the sun is one of my all time favorite things.

Sunday we headed to church and again the service was awesome. So thankful we found an amazing church home that encourages, teaches, and challenges us every week. Jack gets very excited to go to church and "learn about Jesus", he  has no separation anxiety and seems to enjoy playing with all of his "friends". All afternoon we were waiting for Lucy to make her arrival, she could have been birthday buddies with her Auntie Lala, but no such luck! Instead we all relaxed and napped. We are resting up for you baby girl! The weekend was topped off with a wonderful fresh summer meal and more cuddling!
