Baby Girl: 38 Weeks

This weeks Baby Girl update is a bit delayed as I kept forgetting to take a picture, until today, so it is more like 38 weeks and 5 days. Anyways, this weeks doctors appointment was on Monday and I am dilated a solid 4 cm and still 60% effaced. Blood pressure was back down, thanks to Mike keeping Jack for the morning, measuring 34 weeks but no more concerns about that, and the Doctor is surprised that I am still pregnant. Feeling anxious to meet this little girl but also happy that she is growing nice and strong in there! Trying to appreciate all of the aches and pain, hiccups and kicks, in case this is my last pregnancy. It is an amazing feeling to always have her right there with me. But now I want to see her. Hold her. Kiss her. Good sleep is on the decline.

Jack keeps saying, in a slightly concerned voice, "Belly is getting really big, but Baby Lucy is so small". Makes me laugh and wonder what his 2 year old mind thinks of this whole process. He is always hugging, kissing, and rubbing my belly. He also thinks he can see her through my belly button. This week we started to show Jack pictures of him when he was a baby and watch home videos of himself. I have also showed him some friends baby girl pictures to which he responds, "Oh so cute". We are practicing what to do and say when Baby Lucy cries, and how to be very gentle.

Ready to get this whole birthing thing done with and bring home our sweet baby girl to complete our family!
